Medium to Long Term Locum GP Opportunity – Dunfermline

 £350 per session

Are you looking for a stable, medium to long term role within a cohesive and friendly team? Our well-established practice in Dunfermline is seeking a GP to join us for six sessions per week. Located just 25 minutes from Edinburgh, we offer a relaxed environment with a focus on manageable workloads and professional support.

 We believe in providing the time necessary for high-quality care. Your sessions will include:

  • Generous Appointment Times: A mixture of 15-minute face-to-face and 10-minute telephone/acute consultations.
  • Manageable Patient Lists: 11 appointments in the morning and 9 in the afternoon.
  • Protected Time: dedicated catch-up blocks, coffee breaks, and allocated admin time.
  • No home visit responsibility in normal sessions: home visits are completed by GP with ANP support in a protected session

The role is covering a partner on sick leave and will cover admin work, including a share of Docman, acute prescription requests, blood results, home visit sessions and after training, duty doctor sessions. There are optional opportunities for enhanced earnings with private work and reports with direct payment to you.

Sessions are all day Monday, Wednesday and Friday but some flexibility could be offered to the right candidate.

We pride ourselves on being a steady, welcoming practice with exceptionally low staff turnover. You will be supported by a comprehensive multidisciplinary team, including:

  • 7 GP Partners, a Salaried GP, and an ANP.
  • Specialist Diabetes and Respiratory Nurses, CTAC Nurses, and a Phlebotomist.
  • On-site Physiotherapy, Mental Health Nursing, and District Nursing teams.
  • A dedicated and hard-working administrative support crew.
