Fixed Term (1 year) Maternity Cover GP Locum – South Queensferry Medical Practice

5-8 Sessions | Start date negotiable

South Queensferry Medical Practice is a large, well‑established, and well‑organised training practice serving approximately 13,000 patients. Due to upcoming maternity leave, we are looking for a GP Locum to join our friendly and supportive team. We are happy to be flexible on the number of sessions, with a start date to be agreed.

About the Practice

Our multidisciplinary team includes:

  • 5 GP Partners
  • 7 Salaried GPs
  • Practice Mental Health Nurse
  • Clinical Pharmacists
  • Advanced Physiotherapist
  • An experienced nursing team and a large, supportive administrative team

We are proud to be a training practice, actively supporting medical students and GP Trainees in a collaborative learning environment.

Clinical Working Environment

  • Flexible appointment templates with a mix of 10‑ and 15‑minute consultations
  • Combination of telephone and face‑to‑face appointments
  • No full triage system, ensuring a broad and interesting mix of patient presentations
  • IT systems: Vision and Docman
  • Working within the Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership
